We are Annette from Germany – the landlubber - and Wim from the Netherlands – the sea hero.

Having lived in Switzerland for a long time visiting the world mostly “backpacking”, we went sailing on “Thetis” our 43 foot US-build Yacht in 2006. After seven years on the high seas we came to Thailand, Khao Tao, to build  two houses  -  our  main house in wood in traditional Thai style and the garden house. This one Annette designed on an early morning-watch, sailing between the beautiful islands of Indonesia. It was always meant to accommodate our families and friends upon their visits – and you (for a minimum stay of about one week).


It comes with 60 m2 for bed- and living room, including a small kitchen, plus a spacious terrace under big trees. Both rooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans. The bedroom offers a very big bed and a walk-in closet. Living room and kitchen are equipped with all you need for 4 people. The fridge will be filled with drinks and some breakfast – complementary to you.  The bathroom is decorated with tropical flowers, the shower is open to the sky to admire the stars at night. You are connected to the world by WiFi. A small BBQ stands outside ready for you to use. You are missing anything? Just ask us!

We share our 18m x 5m swimming pool only with you – please use the pool shower before and after a refreshing dip in the soft, salt water.

You can explore the area on our 2 bicycles, play badminton or boccia in the garden or watch the birds in our 3 big aviaries. Want to bring your own pet? Please inform us before.

The compound is fenced in and we close our gate at night to keep the few and usually peaceful dogs out. Please help us to recycle plastic bottles, glas and cans – we collect it in the main house. For the rest of the garbage there is a blue bin just opposite our entrance. And please enjoy your smoke – outside!
